The early years

Leo immigrates to the United States and his first job is
shoveling snow on the Williamsburg Bridge.

Love and hard work

Leo starts a business buying and selling metals on
47th Street- manufacturing facility Leo Ingwer Inc begins.
He marries his long time love Clara.

Miracle on 47th

Leo Ingwer Inc. opens its first showroom street level at 54 West 47th Street for $6 a month in rent.

Home, sweet, home.

Leo & Clara’s youngest son Kenny joins the family business
followed by their daughter Shelly. Leo Ingwer opens its offical corporate headquarters at 62 West 47th Street.

New generation

The first wave of the third generation joins the family business,
Cheryl & Matthew Selig.

End of an era

Leo Ingwer passes away after a lifetime of love.

The second wave of third generation, Todd Ingwer,
Danielle Cohen Ingwer, and Ashley Ingwer join the
family business.

Welcome wedding bands

To Have & To Hold by Ingwer Collection Is created.

Matt becomes a board member of the 47th Street Business Improvement District.

Making history

Leo Ingwer Inc. is inducted into The Diamond District
Hall of Fame by the 47th Street BID.

Center Stone inventory is created and introduced to the industry.

commemorates the event with a one-of-a-kind fancy
intense yellow radiant diamond ring worthy of the family
matriarch, Clara.

Danielle is elected president of the Women’s
Jewelry Association, New York Metro Chapter.

Designer Collections

The Signature Collection is launched followed by our 1939 Collection.

Danielle is elected to the Board of Directors of the Jewelers Board of Trade.
